Happy to Announce

That I finally have a new kit up at oscraps!!

It's part graphic+minimalist, part vintage+modern. Kind of an oxymoron, I know, but I find this combo totally irresistable!

clean = peace, prosperity and good vibes

There's nothing like ringing in the new year with a clean home. We spent most of the morning cleaning. My studio is a different story. It is organized now, at least. I took me three evenings to organize my "stuff". A large chunk of things went into the trash. Why in the world did I save all my check stubs? Those went into the shredder. My important documents are now all filed away in its proper categories. I am a rehabbed pack rat. There is something very liberating about getting rid of things. And my dymo labeler is my new best friend. There's something about uniform tags that makes a drawer look instantly organized.

I am happy. And ready to move onto the next phase. Redecorating. Installing more storage space. The room is badly in need of an overhaul. A fresh paint job. Hardwood floors. Acoustic ceiling removal. I've been stalking the hgtv and martha stewart website for ideas and inspiration. What I've compiled so far:

I Resolve

As usual, I have a million things (ok, that's a slight exaggeration) running through my head. I'm feeling ambitious right now so I'm going to list all the things I hope to accomplish in 2007.

In the new year, I resolve to:

  • try a new recipe every month
  • organize (phase I) and renovate (phase II) my studio
  • build my portfolio
  • finish Europe 2006 album
  • remove the popcorn ceiling in our house (phase I)
  • paint house interior(phase II) - experiment with color
  • work on my posture

Hhhhm. That's a relatively short list.

Happy New Year everyone!

Happy Holidays

Once again, it is down to the wire for us this year. A surprising turn of events because I was so on top of holiday tasks early on. Our holiday cards were done and ready to go out the day after thanksgiving. We made most of our gift purchases online before December 1st.

Tonight, I find myself scrambling to get the last of our xmas cards sent out. And I'm mentally bracing myself to join other last minute shoppers in the mad rush to find the "perfect" gift.

It'll be better next year? I'll really be on top of things....it'll be different. Even as I type this I don't know if I believe it, lol.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Ciao from Europe

Tonight is our last night in Europe. We spent two weeks here, exploring parts of Italy and Paris. I'm posting some highlights from our first few days here. I have so many thoughts I want to share but I'm too tired to blog.

More photos to come. Ciao for now!
